(Senior) Database Engineer

Infopro Digital, the B2B group specializing in information and technology, is currently looking for a Senior Database Engineer on a permanent contract to strengthen the team at its HaynesPro B.V.

HaynesPro is the leading supplier of online technical information to all areas of the automotive aftermarket. It’s a one-stop shop for the management, provision and integration of repair, diagnostic and maintenance data, with the sole aim of creating value through innovation, integration, partnership and increased efficiency.

As a Senior Database Engineer, you will play a key role within our IT TDS department, working alongside passionate Java developers, DBAs, and operations specialists. Together, you will ensure our data platforms remain robust, scalable, and future-proof.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, data warehouses, and data platforms
• Improve database performance by optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
• Design and implement functional and technical changes to our databases
• Monitor and analyze performance, and proactively implement optimizations
• Build and maintain data integrations from source systems and external data providers
• Integrate and analyze new data sources to unlock business value
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across different disciplines
• Contribute to architecture discussions, define data standards, and drive improvements
• Translate business needs into clear database and data solutions
• Work hands-on with tools such as Power BI, SQL Server, Redshift, and SSIS (ETL)

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role
• Strong expertise in SQL Server (administration, performance tuning, query optimization)
• Experience with ETL processes and tools (preferably SSIS)
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift) is a strong plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
• Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
