Voor het opsporen van bekabeling - ook cat kabels – en het volgen van specifieke kabels in een trunck. Ook het terugvinden van die ene kabel tussen al die honderden andere is een fluitje van een cent. 1 persoon kan het doen, door de zender te plaatsen (zo groot als een pakje sigaretten) en eenvoudig de kabel volgen (ook onder de grond) met de hand-held ontvanger.
