DFI TA64-B Apollo Pro 133A mobo review

The BIOS also has some very nifty features for overclocking. The DRAM clock has 3 different settings, +33 clock, -33 clock, and clock speed. Which means that if you have a Pentium3 with a 133Mhz FSB speed and you only have PC100 memory that doesn't overclock well, then you can use a lower bus speed for just the RAM. This also means that if you have a Pentium3 based on a 100Mhz bus speed, but you have PC133 memory, you can run the memory at a faster bus speed. Fantastic idea, I tried both these settings without a flaw. As in most motherboards today, the motherboard is based on a jumperless design, so you can change the Front Side Bus (FSB) speed in the BIOS, allowing you to easily overclock your processor without having to open up your case every time. One drawback here is that you cannot change the VCore voltage settings. [break]De eindconclusie:[/break] Overall, the DFI TA64-B is a very good motherboard. Sporting a trendy twin CPU design, which allows it to operate with any Celeron or Pentium3 CPU, you can't steer wrong. The performance of the motherboard is also good, with it almost beating the ASUS motherboard. The motherboard is based on the VIA Apollo Pro 133A Chipset, which is feature rich and has become the standard for 133Mhz FSB motherboards that use PC133 memory. The BIOS also allows for some pretty useful features for the overclockers, thus makes this motherboard a very attractive steal for any overclocker and upgrader.
