De ontwikkelaars van Dr. DivX hebben gisteren de eerste release candidate beschikbaar gesteld van de 2.0-tak van het programma. Deze versie kan door hier te klikken als installatiebestand voor Windows naar binnen gehaald worden. Dr. DivX wordt beschikbaar gesteld onder de LGPL-licentie en is een transcoder om filmbestanden om te zetten naar het DivX-formaat. De om te zetten films zijn in diverse bitrates om te zetten, inclusief de standaard bitrates die DivX kent voor draagbare media en high-definition spelers. In Dr. DivX 2.0 RC1 zijn een aantal bugs opgelost, welke dat precies zijn lees je hierbeneden:

Important: You must uninstall the previous build (beta 10 or earlier) of Dr. DivX. Do a "Dr.DivX Reset" after installing. If you have old job files, you need to lose them. The new build will crash if you try to use the old job files with it. [break]
