FUJIFILM Europe · Standplaats: Tilburg · 12 december 2019
Do you want to enhance your career possibilities and develop yourself as a Windows Specialist/Engineer? Do you enjoy working at an innovative and international organisation, and are you not afraid of working within a complex IT environment? Then we are looking for you!
Where will you be working?
FUJIFILM Europe B.V., part of the European quarters, is established in Tilburg. This company is, amongst other, responsible for the sales and distribution of its products for the European market, the Middle East and Africa.
Besides, the largest production base of Fujifilm outside Japan is located at the Tilburg site, and the Tilburg Research Laboratory in which new and innovative products and technologies are continuously developed.
The Infra team consists of 10 engineers, responsible for the IT Infrastructure, which underpins the entire IT service in EMEA, and provides vital links to the rest of the Fujifilm world. The Infra Team works in an environment that is based on Microsoft technologies. We work with multiple forests in which multiple domains are hosted spread over EMEA. Server OS is based on Windows 2008R2, 2012R2 and 2016. Client OS is based on Windows 7 & 10. All servers run virtually on a VMWare based infrastructure.
Next to this Microsoft based infrastructure we use additional services based on Linux Centos 6+ / Debian 6+ and Open Source like Nagios for monitoring the complete infrastructure.
You are responsible for making sure that the Microsoft IT Infrastructure functions in the most optimal and efficient way (e.g. services with minimal downtime); i.e. Windows 2012/2016 and Linux Operating Systems.
Your job will be mainly conceptual rather than operational but always Microsoft Windows related. You will engage in change management (decide if requests are according concepts; decide on minor exceptions; team involvement); problem management and life cycle management of the Operating Systems. You participate in various projects, write specifications, create technical design documents and advice on exceptions and technical solutions. Furthermore you propose required budget figures and monitor the actual budget. In conjunction with the Windows Architect and/or of European Infrastructure you align services to customers' demands i.e. design and adapt service catalogue to new service requests. You design and establish standards for Operating Systems. Finally, you will engage in 3rd line incident management in case of emergency (escalations & incident solving; the day-to-day operational management has been outsourced to a Managed Service Provider). You will be challenged, and you will have the freedom to propose new ideas and solutions.
Your reporting line is towards the of European Infrastructure.
For non-native speakers we require basic knowledge of Dutch, and/or the willingness to learn the Dutch language.
Who are you?
You are a technical driven person with excellent analytical skills and you are business oriented. A real team player who ensures good communication with end users/customers and colleagues of our Managed Service Provider and IT personnel in EMEA. You are eager to learn and develop yourself and you use experiences in order to improve yourself.
At FUJIFILM Europe B.V. the employees are our most critical success factor. We want our employees to feel at home in the company. We offer compensation & benefits that are competitive in the market and seek for deployment of talent by investing in studies & training.
