Are you an experienced software engineer with a passion for both frontend and backend development? Do you want to take the lead in frontend strategy while also contributing to robust backend solutions? Join our driven team to develop software that supports housing corporations in property valuation - working from our Amsterdam or Rotterdam offices, or partly from home.

Your role as a Software Engineer:

As a software engineer, you'll define the frontend strategy and ensure an intuitive user experience. At the same time, you won't shy away from backend work, contributing to a scalable, stable, and efficient software architecture.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and improve frontend components in Angular and backend services in Kotlin & Spring Boot

• Define and implement frontend architecture and best practices within the team

• Optimize performance and scalability in the cloud

• Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes

• Collaborate with consultants to translate client needs into concrete solutions

• Encourage knowledge sharing within the team and mentor less experienced colleagues

• Actively participate in scrum processes such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

The Team:

You'll join a close-knit, self-organizing scrum team of experienced developers and analysts. Our culture is open and collaborative, with knowledge sharing and innovation at its core. We work in a hybrid setup but regularly meet at the office for collaboration, brainstorming, and informal moments to celebrate successes.

What do we offer?

• Salary between €70,000 and €90,000 per year (including variable bonus, 13th month, and 8% holiday allowance)

• 27 vacation days, with the option to purchase additional days

• Hybrid working: work partly from home or from our offices in Amsterdam or Rotterdam

• One-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position

Who are you?

As a software engineer, you enjoy using your analytical skills to develop new features and unravel complex code. You define problems, come up with pragmatic solutions, and translate these into concrete action plans. You take ownership and ensure our clients use our software successfully and with satisfaction. You communicate clearly with your colleagues and ask for help when needed. You actively collaborate with consultants to improve processes and solutions - your ideas directly impact our software's success. And of course, you identify with our core values .

Whether you're a developer looking to grow or a seasoned engineer eager to make an impact, we value talent with a strong technical foundation and a curious mindset.

You also bring:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience

• Deep knowledge of frontend technologies (preferably Angular)

• Familiarity with or interest in our tech stack: Java, Kotlin, Angular, Spring Boot, Postgres, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Tekton, ArgoCD, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Grafana

• Excellent command of English (and command of Dutch is an advantage, but not required)

• We're looking for candidates who are already based in the Netherlands and are legally authorized to live and work here.
