Admission & Marketing support member
We are looking for
A dynamic and pro-active team-member that likes puzzling in big databases and handling several mailboxes at one time. As Admission & Marketing support member, you provide support for mainly our courses for international professionals. Yearly ~15.000 professionals from all over the globe opt for a scholarship to join one of our courses. It is your and your team-members responsibility to support our marketing service to reach theses 15.000 potential course applicants, for which you will work with Measure mail Spike, SAGE, and channels like LinkedIn, Facebook. Big part of your job will be to handle all mailings with these ~15.000 applicants for a course-scholarship, to structure this huge applicants database, to make sure that all information of the applicants is in place, to be a contact person to external clients (like NUFFIC), to puzzle who is eligible for a scholarship according to upfront set criteria, so that you and your team finally end up with a proposal for ~850 applicants that potentially fulfil all criteria to obtain a scholarship to follow a course from our Institute.
… a winner and entrepreneur that does not mind to work independently for hours behind a computer. You are target-driven, results-oriented and see the scholarship deadlines as a game you want to win to get the most eligible course applicants out of your database. You are able to set priorities and perform adequately under high work and peer pressure. The scholarship procedures are important in our institute; willingness to work outside office hours, eg during the 3-yearly scholarship deadlines, is not a problem for you.
You have proven excellent communication skills in speaking and writing to be able to communicate (in English (B2) and Dutch, mastering of the French language is nice to have) to your scientific colleagues who make and give the courses, to external partners like NUFFIC, to internal partners like WUR marketing and ICT departments, and above all to the course applicants with all their different cultures and backgrounds.
You have a MBO or HBO level of education or equal level of professional performance obtained through relevant work-experience. You have excellent computer skills, like MS Office, SAGE, CRM and the ability to learn other programmes used within our organisation.
Seeing the international character of our institute and of your job, you love working in a dynamic, academic, multi-cultural context. Last but not least, you have a proven service-oriented attitude and are a team-player that fits our institute and team.
At WUR we work with an open, innovative attitude so that we daily can develop and improve ourselves. The position is permanent, initially we start with a one year contract. The average working week is 32-40hours/week , salary up to a max of € 2860 (salary scale 6, Wageningen Research Collective Labour Agreement) gross per month based on a working week of 36hr/week. We offer you good secondary employment conditions, like arrangements for leave, education, personal development, and a pension with the ABP Pension Fund.
Deadline for application is Sunday November 17, 2019. For your application, please use the button at the top of this page. First round of interviews will take place in Wageningen, on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November. Second round of interviews will also take place on Monday 25 November.

The motto of our Institute is ‘Knowledge in Action’; we support organisations and people of low and middle income countries to strengthen their knowledge and capacity in the AgriFood domain. Making and giving courses is one of our assets to bring ‘Knowledge in Action’.
The Admission & Marketing team is a small sub-team (2-3p) of a bigger team called Portfolio Support Group. This Portfolio Support Groups is thé support team of our Institute and consists of ~18 persons. Apart from your sub-team Admission & Marketing support, two other support teams exist in the Portfolio Support Group, i.e. Courses, Projects and Events Support group, and Secretariat Support group. Since the three subgroups are one big team, we help each other in all support services we provide. This might mean that, depending on your experience and preference, you will also every now and then support tasks of the other subteams, like organizing an event.
