SUMMARY

Within the SAP Global Security (SGS) organization the department Cyber Defense & Design supports secure infrastructure & application operations, as well as secure cloud development, in order to deliver secure services to our customers. Additionally, it is acting as the trusted partner & advisor for IT and data security matters and is handling Security Incidents.

As a key individual contributor role, the Cyber Security Architect is responsible for defining security architecture requirements in the area of Identity and Access Management, but also to provide guidance and consulting including compliance and technical security measures to SAP's internal IT teams.

THE ROLE

As Cyber Security Architect you will define & maintain IT security requirements and Security Reference Architectures, provide technical and architectural security guidance in the area of Identity and Access Management to the SAP Global Security organization, product/project teams and functional organizations and provide professional advice to internal and external parties.

You will be responsible to extend the reach of new or existing IAM communities inside and outside SAP, lead technical defense-in-depth reviews to evaluate and identify opportunities to enhance security controls and evaluate and/or design new technologies, processes, standards, and frameworks on an ongoing basis. You will also build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organization.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years in an information (security) technology or information (security) architecture role
• Several years of relevant professional experience in Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Modern Authentication Technologies
• Demonstrable experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) technologies such as Single-Sign-On (SSO), Privileged Access Management (PAM) preferably including Privileged Access Workstations (PAW), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), FIDO, Identity Federation and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Must have proven experience in providing architectural guidance
• Quick Learner, passionate, motivated and self-managed
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong security mindset, both from a technological and threat landscape aspect
• Validated analytical and problem-solving ability
• Strong innovative and critical thinker, with the drive and commitment to stay up to date with current technology, as well as industry best practices and procedures
