Summary & Role Information

The team is responsible for creating, consolidating and driving the HEC architecture roadmap across various teams under consideration of the overall SAP business target. The team covers activities ranging from Pre-Sales support, Service Portfolio Management, evaluation of new solutions and technologies as candidates for future HEC deployments, engineering of new services and definition of architecture standards.

To support our architects in evaluation, prototyping and testing activities, maintain documentation and support technology transfers and rollouts into the operations team we look for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our team.

Your role will be to support the team from a technical expert perspective. Driving critical organization wide projects, creating, testing and implementing technical blueprints and driving the rollout as well. You will work on a technical level but need to be able to organize and structure work across teams. Within the team we put a strong focus on fast execution and high quality delivery.

Experience / Role Requirements

• Proficient in creating technical architecture and infrastructure design
• Strong knowledge of one of the big public cloud infrastructure services or knowledge and hands on experience with DC infrastructure technology domains (compute, storage, network)
• Srong Linux/Unix administration expertise
• Good Ansible expertise
• Good Terraform expertise
• Good Scripting & Automation expertise (python, java, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD (ideally Jenkins)
• Kubernetes/Docker experience
• Good knowledge of the SAP product portfolio
• Highly structured and organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• High ambition, drive and focus on results and execution
• Fluent English language skills

ECS CTO Architecture & Technology Team will set up the HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) for the future by driving innovation, architectural best practices and industry standard concepts which will help drive SAP HANA adoption and scale.
