The Hightech industry is one of the main economical drivers of the Eindhoven region. Our team has a unique opportunity for a project manager in which you will work with a software engineering team to implement solutions for a High Tech Customer in the Brainport region. In this critical role you will be responsible for project management, quality, lead time and budget in a complex, demanding and frequently changing environment. This in close cooperation with a software lead engineer, supporting you with the technical content. Extension of the team capacity based on mixed nearshoring is part of the challenge.

We are offering you a position as a medior project manager in a complex environment with the perspective to grow to the role of senior project manager.

Description

What will your responsibilities be:

You will provide overall project management for multiple small projects (< 4 FTE per project) to ensure they are meeting the overall objectives and goals. As such, you should have the ability to coordinate multiple teams of engineers in a fast-paced environment and be able to act as an extension of senior (account) management, dealing with commercial items. In order to make sure your team stays engaged and effective, you need to be able to lead and coach multiple individuals. As a project manager, you have an important role in stakeholder management within a demanding environment and you have to be able to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.

Requirements

What are we asking from you?
You're a highly motivated self-starter with a passion to accomplish results. You're able to communicate in English without any problems across functions and teams, up and down the chain of command. Gaining knowledge on the technical area to level with the customer is something that you automatically do out of interest and you're able to proactively deal with conflict and related escalation methods.
Furthermore, the project manager we're looking for has:

• A bachelor/master degree in a software or related engineering field with a strong technical background.
• 5+ years of project management experience or experience as a SCRUM master / team lead in a high tech software engineering context (i.g. semiconductors, complex machinery, healthcare or consumer electronics)
• Experience with leading Agile/SCRUM and SAFe based projects
