About the Mobile Experience and Engineering Unit

Mobile apps are very often a first entry point of our customers to experience the Intelligence Enterprise and to access their data and business processes. Our mission is to bring the mobile portfolio together in ways that offer customers innovative mobile user experience across their business processes while leveraging latest native technologies and delivering on best of breed capabilities in each market segment.

The Mobile Experience & Engineering unit will be the central place for SAP's mobile app development and everything around mobile technology. In our responsibility lies the holistic, persona-centric mobile portfolio definition, the overall mobile app development, including app lifecycle management plus the necessary governance to ensure customer success.

We are looking for mobile user experience designers who are familiar with state-of-the-art native mobile app design, excellent skills in interaction & visual design to join our team to build compelling native mobile applications for Android, in close collaboration with customers, partners and end-users.

SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION

This challenging opportunity is perfect for a mobile user experience designer with excellent mobile business skills, an open mind and willingness to join a "start-up" like team.

In the role, you will create conceptual mockups, storyboards, click-through prototypes and user flow diagrams to articulate on design direction. You will also effectively communicate design decisions to customers, colleagues, cross-functional team members, and management. You will also design and implement elegant and streamlined software UI process flow on complex functionalities.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, quality assurance, and solution management to create amazing user experiences as well as keep up with evolving design trends, technologies and best practices.

EXPERIENCE / ROLE REQUIREMENTS

You should also have:

• Experience in visual design with good grounding in typography, colors, layout, visual hierarchy and consistency
• Deep knowledge in Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Strong communications skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and processes to anyone in the company simply and clearly
• Able to collaborate actively and effectively in multidisciplinary, distributed, and international teams
• Fluent English language skills, fluent German is a plus.

Work Experience Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in design and user experience - specifically for mobile devices
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is beneficial
• Previous experience in user experience design specifically for mobile devices and platforms like iOS and Android is very beneficial.
