FrieslandCampina's Global Data and Analytics Platform is looking for a data scientist to join the growing group of data engineers and scientists.

We are looking for a person that feels comfortable at the intersection among mathematics, machine learning, business analytics and computer science. You can come from a business analytics, data science, AI background; should also know mathematics and statistics and know how to apply this to actual problems.

When it comes to data analysis you shouldn't expect data to be clean, organized, documented or complete. You make do with what you get and don't make assumptions, you aren't afraid to ask relevant questions. You also understand the strengths and weaknesses of different modelling approaches and can effectively reason about when to apply different combinations.

Wat we vragen

• You know Python, Pandas, SKLearn, Scipy, etc.

• You have finished a Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business analytics, Artificial intelligence etc.)
• You have relevant experience with time series forecasting, optimization methods, business analytics and data mining, and relevant experience in their respective visualizations in order to tell a story.

Wat we bieden

• Work on cool projects in different parts of the company, e.g. we have done projects in factories, commercial departments, planning, finance, and HR.
• Assist in various dev-ops tasks, for example:
  • Develop proof of concepts in Python
  • Create graphics to show valuable insights to stakeholders

Since we're a small, growing team, you are not a cog in a big machine, but you get end-to-end responsibility. Our senior data scientists and data engineers are there to guide you. Work towards a production-ready version of machine learning models (or traditional ones). Testing, scaling, refactoring and security is part of your responsibility as well.

As a data scientist intern, you will be working with both our senior business executives, as well as senior

data scientist from Corporate IT.

An ideal candidate will have a balance of technical know-how and business savviness. You shall have strong motivation to work in the applied data science domain. You must also be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with timelines and feel comfortable with leading the change in our organization as we continue to integrate data science practices further.

You will be fully part of the team (probably working from home most of the time, as we all are), and will be immediately introduced to one or more of the data science projects we are currently involved in.

The Center of Excellence Data Analytics is a relatively new and young group within the corporate IT department. We are a very international group with enthusiastic people, eager to assist in the digital transformation of FrieslandCampina and assisting in project with all business groups.
