Saw over on Redwood's that ZDNet has posted a news item about another Windows "the OS formerly known as Windows NT 5" 2000 delay. The incoming king of Ultra-Bloatware is not due until the second half of 1999, with beta 3 arriving in April.

The official word from Redmond? "We're still shooting, hopefully, for an end-of-year ship date," said a corporate spokeswoman. "We are still expecting we can get it out before year-end." I, for one, have never felt more reassured. I guess it takes a while to debug 35 million lines of new code.
