Op de site van Pinnacle Systems vinden we een versie 8.5.18 beta van Studio. In deze nieuwe release zijn de volgende veranderingen aangebracht:
Setup
* "Launch Studio/ Guided Tour" pop-up should now work.
Capture
* Fixed �second capture� bug with AV/DV hardware.
* Studio shouldn't be able to enter "standby" during capture.
* Audio Peak metering improved with Studio AV/DV hardware.
Edit
* Improved Hollywood FX preview with MPEG video.
* Improved text editing in TitleDeko.
* Fixed problems in album navigation/selection (�SHIFT-Selecting� 
* Improved MPEG file compatibility (import and edit.)
* No longer hangs during editing of motion menus.
Make
* Fixed several bugs in MPEG rendering (including many hangs during render.)
* Fixed jerky transitions on output.
* Studio should no longer enter �standby� while capturing or rendering.
