URD 1.1.0

Versie 1.1.0 van URD is uitgebracht. URD staat voor Usenet Resource Downloader. Met dit programma kunnen bestanden van usenet worden gedownload. Dat kan door gebruik te maken van nzb-bestanden, maar het programma is ook in staat om zelf een nieuwsgroep te analyseren en een downloadset te genereren voor een specifieke verzameling bestanden. URD wordt ontwikkeld voor Linux en BSD, en wordt onder een opensourcelicentie uitgebracht. Het changelog van deze release ziet er als volgt uit:

In this brand new version, specific searches in newsgroups, rss feeds or spots can be saved and quickly retrieved. The use of spots have further been streamlined. And there is a new stylesheet available (Silver) as well as an overhaul of the Desert style and many minor improvements to the layout. Furthermore the statistics have been updated to show daily information as well. And as a bonus there is improved spam control, by blocking on poster names.
