(Senior) Account Manager

SecondFloor, a rapidly expanding IT company that is based in The Netherlands, is recruiting a (Senior) Account Manager that will be actively involved in the international growth of the organization.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Contact new and existing clients to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific services.
• Answer clients' questions about prices, availability, and credit terms.
• Quote prices, credit terms and other bid specifications.
• Emphasize service features based on analysis of clients' needs
• Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements.
• Maintain client records, using automated systems.
• Identify prospective clients by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
• Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders for processing.
• Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
• Support project managers with project execution

Skills and knowledge

• A minimum of five years of work-related skills, knowledge, or experience:
• Knowledge of principles of marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
• Good negotiation skills
• HBO (Higher Vocational training) or a University education level, either obtained by education or by experience
• Experience with selling IT related projects is essential
• Knowledge of and experience with financial service providers, preferably in the cards & payments and/or risk management industry
• Strong communication and social skills
• Dutch native speaker and very good verbal and written skills in English.
