 |    |  | Your Responsibilities: The primary goal of the Portal Business Consultant is to assess and translate business needs into portal content solutions for our internal customers.
The Portal Business Consultant has the following areas of responsibility: - Performs an initial assessment to determine the business value of a portal solution and of using the Portal Service.
- Analyzes the business needs and requirements of the content customer and creates a high-level design for a portal solution.
- Ensures the quality of the solution to meet customer expectations while the portal content will be development by portal content and development experts.
- Participates in internal communication and marketing activities to promote the Portal Service to potential business content customers.
- Develops and maintains methods and standards to support portal business and functional design

Organization Description: Working in one of Philips Corporate Staff Departments, you’ll be at the heart of our worldwide company. These departments play a key role in supporting the Royal Philips Electronics Board of Management (BoM). Philips has established a strategic, shared Portal Service to support the current and rapidly growing internal business demand for portal solutions. This Portal Service (based on SAP Enterprise Portal technology) is provided by the PBAS Portal Service Line, and has the following objectives:- Provide services to business content customers to support the entire lifecycle of portal content projects.
- Actively promote the adoption of portal technology across Philips where there are opportunities to create business value.
- Manage, operate, and support the shared portal infrastructure and application components, and enhance and extend it to meet business needs over time.
- Maintain standards and methods for using the Portal, enhancing them in-line with learning, evolving best practices, and business needs.
- Build and maintain portal expertise and competences.
